Yoga Teacher - I
was introduced to yoga after breaking my left femur, and needing
an alternative to my lifelong gym and running routine. It took a
little while to develop a daily practice, but once I did, it changed
my life and knew I wanted to find a path for myself, both professionally
and personally, that would allow me to focus on yoga. I began teaching
on my own to friends, drawing from my yoga experience, and then
attended teacher training and began teaching around Austin full
time, right away.
I'm
currently completing my advanced teaching certification, a designation
only reached by about 10% of all yoga instructors, and am also one
of just a couple of Austin's Certified Yoga Wall® Teachers,
an amazing tool to assist those looking for proper alignment.
I practice
or teach daily at many places around Austin and Lakeway Texas, in
studios, schools, parks, events, at home and with friends.
I'm
the Vice President and an instructor for the Free
Day of Yoga, inc. a non-profit corporation, and the Founder/Director
of the Austin
Yoga Festival. and the Austin
Yoga Expo.
I
offer free or discounted classes to those in need of wellness in
their life, without the means to pay for classes, and I hope to
see you in one of my classes.

History - I
am a native Texan and just about as Austin as one can get. I moved
here with my parents in 1974, when Austin was still a sleepy college
town, and about a quarter the size we are today. I attended middle
school, high school, and The University of Texas in Austin. Have
also been to the Armadillo World Headquaters, Liberty Lunch, was
an extra in the Willie Nelson movie Honeysuckle Rose, have been
to Christmas parties at the Goveror's mansion and waited tables
at Matt's El Rancho while in school.
